Eric Riddle was Co-Founder of Revealing Voices with Tony Roberts in 2018 and served as Executive Producer until 2022. After stepping away from the podcast for 9 months, Eric began contributing to Revealing Voices through sharing short-form episodes called Haikasts in January 2023. Eric thanks Adela Dickey and Kevin “Earleybird” Earley for taking on the role of podcast production.
Eric has been writing poetry since his days as an angsty teenager. In 2016, he began focusing on writing haiku when he challenged himself to write one per day over the course of a year. Now with over a thousand haiku under his belt, Eric writes short essays about the inspiration for some of his favorites. The 5-10 minute Haikast episodes on Revealing Voices feature him reading his essays.
He is a mental health advocate, developing mental health ministry alongside Tony since 2015. Today, he serves as a Mental Health Matter Ambassador in Columbus, IN where he volunteers to reduce stigma and help others seek recovery. Eric is a contributor to Tony’s 2023 book, “Hope for Troubled Minds.” In his own recovery journey, Eric has discovered that gardening and advocating for ecological restoration have profoundly impacted his sense of connectedness and community.
He works full time for Faith in Place as a Development Coordinator, supporting their mission to empower people of diverse faiths and spiritualities to be leaders in advancing environmental and racial justice. He attended Indiana University in Bloomington, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Eric’s faith was formed through a non-denominational house church community, Presbyterian Church (USA), and the United Methodist Church.
